Being pregnant is hard enough, however some of the colloquialisms for pregnancy really enhanced my morning sickness, for example;
1. "Up the duff "- sounds like someone suggesting going to a sleazy nightclub after a pub bender
2. "Sprogged up" - no need to explain
3. "Preggers" - has a boganic sound
4. "Ready to drop" or "pop" - childbirth certainly does not include simply dropping or popping - also, sounds more like a hiphop routine
5. "Knocked up" - sounds as if you're involved in a boxing match
So much for being a sacred vessel with these terms...What do you think?
